Election Day with a grandson~

Election Day with a grandson
  •
I usually write in to vent about current events but today I am writing just to express my amazement about grandchildren.
While waiting in line to vote, my 8-year-old grandson, Hunter, simply asked what we were doing. I explained that we were voting for the next president. I told him Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump were the people we were choosing from.
Another person in line asked Hunter who he would vote for. He said Donald Trump! I was shocked at his frm response. Not to let the moment pass, the same person smiled and asked why? Hunter said without hesitation, Hillary has broken the law and is a criminal.
Wow! I was speechless and many people in line grinned and nodded. Others simply turned away and did not ask any more questions.
It was refreshing to have an innocent 8-year-old be able to express a well-thought-out opinion. Yes, I am proud of not only Hunter but my other 12 grandchildren as well. Had I know being a grandparent would be so wonderful, I would have hurried to get here sooner - ha!
I hope the USA can work together for positive change, and should all the people who said they were leaving in the event that Donald Trump became president need help packing, let's get a call-in number to help them pack.
The righteous people in this country have never run from a fight but stood their ground to save this country. The bleeding heart cowards have benefitted from the blood, sweat and tears of the true heroes and hard-working taxpayers that are proud to be Americans for the beliefs that America was founded on.
Stand firm and demand all laws be enforced equally for the strength of this country. God Bless America and congratulations to our next president, Donald Trump.

Whitefish
